Summary

The Central project is providing the necessary infrastructure as a basis for the work of all other projects. The coordination project is responsible for the synchronization of works with the Chinese partners, in particular experimental set ups and maintenance in the Main Experiment as well as for all aspects of management. These concern administrative tasks, coordination among the European subprojects and of public relations.

In 2011 and 2012 International Summer Schools were organized and carried out by the Central project.

In addition, this project is responsible for gathering baseline data to be used as covariates by the different subprojects and in common data analyses. Essential components of these baseline data are a Digital Elevation Model of all sites, climate data and vegetation inventories. The Central project also has a leading role in the synthesis of results of all subprojects.
